The Assembly hosts Voice Box 2014 Final

1What is the difference between Manchester United and a teabag?
2What do you call an angry cow?
These are a few of the questions bandied around the Senate Chamber yesterday when William Hay, MLA, Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly hosted the grand finale of Voice Box 2014.

Pupils from across Northern Ireland competed against each other and their local MLAs to see who could bring the most laughter to the corridors of Parliament Buildings at the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists event. After much deliberation – and tears of laughter - the judges chose Stuart Craig from Longstone Special School, as the overall winner. Niall Rafferty from Holy Family Primary School, was the Primary School winner and Joshua Kelly from Glastry College was the Post Primary winner.

Congratulations to the DUP’s Jonathan Bell MLA who was awarded the prize for the funniest MLA.
