Question Time: Justice 17 November 2014

Justice minister David Ford said that plans to site the community safety college at Desertcreat, County Tyrone, might have to be re-examined in the light of a forthcoming review.

Replying to a question from Sinn Fein's Bronwyn McGahan, Mr Ford said he was, "committed to the Programme for Government commitment, which is to the building of an integrated college to provide facilities for the three services working together. In current circumstances it is not possible to say that that is a commitment to the Desertcreat site".

He added that, given the amount of work already completed, Desertcreat was the only site in consideration.

The minister condemned an attack on police officers in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast.

During the 15 minutes of Topical Questions to the minister he was asked questions on Prisons and staffing levels, Dissident Republicans and Security Status, Legal Highs and the PSNI Spending Reductions.
